SLJ Beijing, Beijing 😍

Kia ora! I've been doing some SLJ. For this activity, I had to write a poem about how I would feel about going to Beijing, China.
Here is my Week 4 Day 1 Activity 2;

I've been to Beijing before. It was at the end of 2016 and the beginning 2017.
Here are some photos:

Have you ever been to Beijing before?
Blog ya later!

  1. Hi Claire,

    It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in Canada. I'm so glad that you've chosen to be a part of this program - good for you! You're certainly working hard at the activities!!

    I love your photos of your trip to Beijing - thank you for including them on your posting. And your poem is well done. It's clear that you have very happy memories of your time in this famous city!! Do you have any family or friends there that you were able to visit while on your trip?

    I see that you wore masks at times while travelling in China. Was that to protect you from the air pollution that this article talks about?

    I live in a part of Canada that doesn't experience much air pollution but I grew up in a big city in Ontario called Toronto. We had some very smoggy days there because of the pollution created by cars and industries. There are new rules in place now so that cars have to be less polluting and industries have had to improve the ways in which they produce things such that there's less toxic waste emitted into the air. But we still have to make some changes in how we do things, don't we, in order to reduce our impact on the planet?

    I hope you're enjoying clear, sunny days during your summer holidays! And I hope you're enjoying doing the SLJ activities!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
