It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team reading your blog about beautiful parrots from my wintry home in Canada. We certainly don't have any parrots flying through our skies!!
You've created a really colourful posting of these magnificent birds. I'm glad that you were able to incorporate a photo of them. And I like the way you've highlighted some of their features, to make your DLO more interesting. Well done!
I've never heard of these parrots before. Had you? I'm not sure where they live. I'll have to look that up. Are parrots one of your favourite birds?
I lived next door to someone who used to have a parrot. He was hilarious! He could speak 'human language' so clearly that he sounded like a person saying 'hello' whenever I came over to visit. Amazing!! And he lived for a long time. He was a much-loved pet, belonging to our neighbour.
Do you have any pets? I have an Australian Shepherd dog named Spirit. I just love her. She keeps me hopping, though, because she needs to be walked a long distance every day. Good thing I love to walk!!
