  2. Hey there Claire, my name is Billy. I work with Rachel on the Summer Learning Journey programme. It's fantastic to see how hard you've been working over your summer holiday period. Keep it up!

Thank you for sharing five different tips for staying safe in the sun this summer. I like writing that sentence because there's a lot of repetition of the 's' sound, just like your tips because they repeat the 'sl' sound.

I'm from Auckland as well except I am currently living on the other side of the world in London, England. It is winter here at the moment so it is cold and dark most of the day. So unfortunately it will be a while before I can use your super sensible sun safety tips!

What are some of the fun, outdoor activities you have been enjoying this summer?

    Thanks, Billy.

    1. Hi Billy,
Thank you for commenting on my blog! Is it snowing in London? Are you enjoying your time there?
My favorite outdoor activity in Summer is going to the beach. I love the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea.
      What's your favorite summer activity?
      Thx, Claire

    2. Hey Claire, sorry for the late response. I have only been working a few hours for the SLJ team each week.

Thank you, I really am enjoying myself. It's a lot fun, there is so much to do and see. There are so many people here, it can be a bit hectic at times, but it means it always feels quite safe. I think there is about eight million people in London alone. It hasn't snowed yet! However, it's getting close I think. It's been around 0 degrees lately. Freezing!

I am coming back to New Zealand for a few weeks very soon. It will probably snow while I am away.

The beach is a perfect way to spend your summer holidays. You might as well make the most of it while the weather is fine.

Thanks, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your break!
      Billy.
