Vertebrates and Invertebrates

In room 25 we have been learning about vertebrates and invertebrates. We have been making posters about vertebrates and invertebrates and making facts about them.

Here is my learning:

Te Tinana

On the 14 of March, room 25 learnt the different body parts in Maori. We also learnt the body song in Maori too. It was fun learning the different parts because I got to learn new words and what the different body parts were called in Maori.

Area and Perimeter Room

I have been learning Area and Perimeter. We had to make our own bedroom using Area and Perimeter. Area means calculating the inside of a shape or object using addition or times. Perimeter means calculating the outside of something using addition.

I enjoyed this because we got to design it our own way.

Have a go at this activity. I had lots of fun doing this.

Buddy Class

Today we had Buddy Class with Room 10. My buddy wasn't here today so I had to buddy up with someone else. Our buddy had to read a book to us then we had to read a book to them. It was fun to be spending the last block reading with our buddy.

Warriors

Today, two Warriors came to assembly and a speaker. One of the Warriors was Jazz and the other was Ken. The speaker, Georgia, talked about sleep, hydration and belonging. We got prizes if we answered a question right. We also played Heads and Tails. If we got the answer wrong we had to sit down. One question said 'Is it the best time to drink water after exercise?' Lots of people got that answer wrong and had to sit down. Georgia asked when was the best time to drink water and the answer was all the time. At the end of the assembly people who play rugby league for a club or a school, got to have their T-shirts signed by Jazz and Ken.
It was cool to have the Warriors here at our school today. Here are some pictures and a video of them.

My Learning
