SLJ Fundraising for a beautiful Reef

Kia ora. I've been doing some more SLJ. For this activity, I had to list 3 different ways we can help fundraise for the Great Barrier Reef.
Here is my Week 2 Day 5 Activity 3:

My favorite way is Fundraising 2. I like this one because I think it makes kids get active and they can think of different ways to fundraise.
Do you think these ideas are cool? Which one do you like best?
Blog ya later!

  1. Hello Claire,

My name is Toe'umu and I go to Wesley Intermediate. I really like your ideas on what you could do to fund raise. My favourite idea is the last one because I would enjoy baking cookies and selling them. This reminds me of when I was baking with my mum. Maybe next time you could say what your favourite idea was.

    Blog you later,
    Toe'umu

  3. Annyounghaseyo Claire,

You have come up with some really good ideas, I like that you tried to make them all different from each other. If you went with the first idea, where would the toy fish come from? I'm curious about what they would be made of.

Perhaps next time you could talk a bit about which idea you would end up going with, if you were to start fundraising to help preserve the Great Barrier Reef.

I think I'd plan a game day with fun games and activities all about the Great Barrier Reef, much like the fair idea you had. You'd have to pay for admission and tickets to play the games. There'd also be food and stages for entertainment. All the proceeds would go towards preserving the Great Barrier Reef!

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

  4. Hi Cia,
Thank you for commenting on my blog!
For the toy fish, I was thinking of fish rubbers, key chains, little robotic fish that swim in water and those rubber bath toys(the ones that small children play with when they bath).
If I was to fundraise for the Great Barrier Reef, I would end up doing the second one. I would go with this one because I think it helps kids get their minds going to think of different ways they can fundraise.
    Thx,
