It's Leslie here, reading your blog from my home in Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. It's the middle of winter where I live so it's very fun to be reading about animals that live in your summer environment right now.
You've done a great job of presenting this activity!! I appreciate the effort you've made to create boxes for your facts, and posted a photo of the dolphins too. Well done, Claire!!
I've never seen a Maui dolphin. Have you? My daughter, Rachel, and her son, Aronui, live in Auckland so I've come to visit a number of times. I've loved walking along the beaches and coastline around the city, watching the shorebirds and looking for sea animals. You live in very very beautiful place!
Do you go to the beach for picnics during your summer holidays? Or do you get out on bush walks? What are your favourite summer outdoor things to do?
